happy birthday to me...

i got a big birthday kiss from isaac...what a sweetie!













i had such a great birthday. my brother made sure to start the day off with a bang! he called me and made sure i knew it was an "awesome day for the awesomest birthday ever!" it was hilarious. he came over and gave me a gift card for today's hair (a salon that half my family goes to)...it was very nice. he and tj (my otha brotha) went in on it together. after that we took the cans back to the store (one of my favorite pastimes...) and he took me to lunch. we went to la hacienda real...i had a chimichanga. and yes i ordered it like a white girl...chimeechaynga. it was so good. the waitresses even put an enormous sombrero on me and sang some birthday song in spanish...then happy birthday in english. our waitress asked me if i was like 21/22 and i told her i liked her. that's about how old i feel, but for all you inquiring minds...i'm 27.

after all that, marc came back to my house and played with isaac for awhile...tiring him down even more! here's what they had so much fun doing:

















we ended off the day having dinner at my mom's with my grandpa, grandma, marc, sucka nick, mom, ross, derik and isaac...of course. my mom got me some cool stuff...here's a list of the presents. she says the theme was "kelly's favorite things" ...she was mostly right.

a reba t-shirt (oh my gosh i can't even begin to explain the ridiculousness of this shirt...i would have worn it to the state fair if it was still open. i do not know what she was thinking...besides the fact that i love reba. but let's be honest...buy me a cd...a coffee mug...a life-sized poster for heaven's sake! it is hilarious! i was teasing her about it all night and i will continue to tease her for the sad misconception of my affection for reba.)

i also got a crafting desk from my sister, super awesome blush from tanya, money from my grandpa, derik's parents and grandparents, and flowers and a candle from my cousin sucka nick's girlfriend. but the present winner goes to derik for getting me a gift card for craft warehouse. i plan on going buck wild in there! i couldn't sleep all night because i was thinking of all the cool things i am going to buy! woo hoo...thanks derik!

i had a ton of fun and it totally trumps last year's birthday!
